Bishop Dr. Leary Lewis was baptized a Baptist and a Seventh – day Adventist in the year of 1976; and in 1988 he was introduced to the apostolic doctrine by the late Bishop Monroe Sanders of Baltimore Maryland. He was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the gift Holy Ghost.

Bishop Lewis had the need to learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ, so he remained in Baltimore for an additional year under the tutorship of the late Bishop Monroe Sanders.

He relocated to Palm Bay in North Florida and then to Miramar, South Florida under the leadership of Bishop Ernest McDonald of Emmanuel Apostolic Church, Miramar.

In 1996 he established Emmanuel Apostolic Ministries, there he pastored until 2008 when he appointed his darling wife Evangelist Cora Lewis to be Pastor and he remained the Bishop and Overseer.

Bishop Dr. Leary Lewis has served in Pastoral leadership for over Twenty-Two years; he also served as Principal for the Saint Anns Bay Seventh-Day Adventist High School.

Bishop Lewis is a graduate of the Northern University in Mandeville, Jamaica; he is a proud recipient of a Bachelor degree in Applied Theology and Minor in Business Administration. He also received a Bachelor, Masters and a Doctorate degree in Christian Education from the Greater Bethel Bible College.
